“This artwork speaks about how ideas are created, and how mistakes are often not shown. It celebrates how mistakes can turn into wonderful ideas if we keep trying. Without trying we will not succeed in being innovative. Innovation leads to stronger, future-proof ideas that can speak to all generations of people.
The girl is challenging her thoughts by flying darts to see if they work. The boy is grabbing on to the dart and seeing if it will hold him in flight. The paper darts are also a message about sharing our processes, teaching each other and sharing our ideas across generations and cultures. This is a piece about taking risks, not being afraid of failure and learning from mistakes, together.”
